Copper Creek Hut is located in a wilderness setting. Visitors should be self-sufficient and prepared for visiting the backcountry. Communication is spotty and response times to emergencies are unpredictable and may take several days. Do not count on resources at the hut always being available. Visitors need to know their own capabilities and carry the 10 essentials when visiting the hut.
During the winter, visitors must be able to navigate snowy/icy forest roads to get to the parking lots for the trails. Visitors should also be prepared to navigate snowy, ungroomed trails. The weather is unpredictable and visitors should be prepared for cold, snowy, wet, and/or stormy conditions.
Visitors are responsible for their own safety. Those not comfortable with the backcountry or snowy/icy roads should not attempt to visit the huts during the winter time.
