Thank you for being interested in our Porter Service.  Below is a summary of items you will need to complete for a successful trip.

Porter Service Coordinator: RyAnn Peverley (peverley4@gmail.com)

Hut users need to notify our Porter Service coordinator at least two weeks prior to their reservation date, wait for confirmation of Porter availability, then make a non-refundable donation to MTTA (donations can be made online to MTTA’s PayPal account at the link below, or a check can be mailed to MTTA, PO Box 206 Ashford, WA  98304 re: Porter Service).

Have gear packed in small, rugged, waterproof bags or containers (a scale will be at the MTTA office to weigh items).  More than 40 lbs? Hut users have the choice to leave it, carry it, or request an additional porter.  If hut users want a porter to carry supplies back down the trails, they would need to increase their donation accordingly for the downhill trek (i.e.: $100 + $100 = $200 to Copper Creek Hut round trip).

The suggested donations for Porter Service are as follows:

Destination / Suggested Donation for one way, up to 40 lbs.

Copper Creek Hut / $100

Bruni’s Snow Bowl Hut / $100

High Hut / $150

Yurt / $150

All donations are used by MTTA to maintain and improve our trail system and huts.  DONATE HERE

Hut users should carry a pack or at minimum, the 10 essentials for their safety.

Porters offer this service as HUMAN POWERED.  NO motorized machine (snowmobile, snow cat, truck, car) can be used to haul gear.  Using a vehicle-for-hire would defy our land use agreement and jeopardize our hut system.
